Our Curriculum Overviews

We continually strive to provide high quality teaching and learning experiences through a broad, balanced, engaging and challenging curriculum, encompassing all core and foundation subjects, which is accessible to all and enables all children to fulfil their potential.

Our curriculum aims to be knowledge rich and supports children to develop skills progressively. It is taught through discrete subjects, and where appropriate will link to the overall theme and we have not forced tenuous connections.

Many of our children enjoy rich experiences outside of school which builds their cultural capital and enables them to acquire a large and rich vocabulary. We are aware that a small minority of our pupils are not so fortunate. It is therefore imperative that as a school we seek to enrich the experience for all.

We aim to generate an excitement for learning for all, this links to our Christian Vision 'Keep hold of learning; do not let it go; guard it, for it is your life' . Through our Christian values we give children the confidence to make mistakes and the motivation and resilience to work independently and overcome obstacles.
