Our school has an exciting opportunity for a motivational, innovative person looking to establish themselves as an inspirational leader. We are a primary school in the process of organically expanding from an Infant School and will be teaching Year 6 for the first time in September 2020. We also have a thriving Pre-School onsite which takes children from 2 years of age and provides a large proportion of our reception class intake. East Claydon C of E School is a small rural primary school with half form entry and mixed year classes (currently we have 73 on roll with 20 in Pre-School). We have close links to the church and are integral to the community. We are looking for a collaborative person with the skills to guide us through the last stages of our expansion and build on our recent positive Ofsted (Good) and SIAMS (Good) inspections in June 2019.
The school has steady growth, a valued and experienced staff and engaged parents. The right person will ideally have experience of Key Stage 2 whilst also valuing Early Years teaching. They will continue to embrace our outdoor learning ethos and holistic approach to education whilst showing sympathy to our core Christian values of Love, Respect and Commitment. At East Claydon School we prioritise safety and wellbeing and strive to give our children the confidence and skills to make the right choices and become good citizens and role models in their own right. A strong track record in safeguarding and positive behaviour management is an advantage.
Please submit an application with a covering letter outlining:
How you will maintain and develop the Christian character and ethos of the school?
How will you seek to nurture curiosity and ensure our children have a broad world view?
