Part-time Pre-school Assistant
who enjoys working with young children to help us expand our successful and thriving Pre-School

Start date: as soon as possible
Salary: Bucks Pay Scale Range 1b or 2, dependent on qualifications per annum pro rata

Applicants must:

  • be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Childcare
  • have previous experience of working in a setting
  • work closely with the Pre-School leader to plan, assess and evaluate learning opportunities
  • be prepared to work with different age groups from 2 to 5 years old
  • demonstrate a dedication and passion for working with young children
  • be an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative member of the team

Term hours:

  • Mondays – 8:30am to 1:00pm
  • Tuesdays – 8:30am to 1:00pm
  • Thursdays – 8:30am to 1:00pm
  • Plus one afternoon, either Monday or Thursday, to 3:15pm

Hours are likely to increase through the 2019/20 academic year.
Initially this is for the Spring term, with the possibility of extending into the Summer and potentially a permanent contract.

School Cleaner

Main purpose of the post

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced cleaner to join our team after half term. You will be responsible for the daily cleaning of all areas within the building. Achieving high standards, you will ensure the service is operated safely and hygienically.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned areas are clean, presentable and safe by following the required policies and procedures.
  • Main duties will include vacuuming, dusting, mopping, emptying bins and scrubbing surfaces.
  • Cleaning all areas of the school, including: classrooms; office areas; hall; circulation areas; pre-school; bathrooms; and kitchen.
  • Managing cleaning stocks and the cleaning cupboard, identifying when new materials are needed and completing order forms.
  • Communication with the office if any further work is needed as part of the school’s overall health and safety.
  • Able to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Previous cleaning experience and knowledge is desirable.

Package Details

  • We are looking for either one person to do 3 hours a day, or two people to share the role and do 1.5 hours a day each.
  • Working times will be Monday – Friday afternoons.
  • Salary is Bucks 1a – equivalent to an hourly rate of £9.28 (including holiday pay).
  • Additional overtime work will be available each holiday to do more of a ‘deep clean’ of the school or identified areas therein.
