Second phase of fundraising, for a new car park, is underway…

In 2016 we set out to do one beer festival….3 beer festivals later we have now raised £10,000 for our school which is incredible for such a tiny catchment. This year we had persistent rain and it was cold but it certainly didn’t put too many off coming. It was our first time indoors which proved to be a challenge but it didn’t deter the spirits of the local people as we raised £3,000 which will go towards the school’s second phase of fundraising – this time it’s for a new car park.

We’d like to thank all the organisers for their hard work as it takes many months to prepare. And thank you to all the volunteers who helped set up, man the stalls and clear up the day after…so fantastic to have so much support and to see some new faces join in the fun.

But most of all FOECS would like to thank: the Bands/Musicians, Dawn Iverson, Amelia Barnard, Adele Peters, Zero 9….and not forgetting Sledgehammer! The generosity of our sponsors including Vass Tech and The Energy Effect Fitness Studio, our compere, Jeremy James Blake, Anthony D’Alton for selecting the scrumptious beers and ciders, Guy Walker for his BBQ skills, for all the donations, the Parish Council for ensuring we could use the hall in between the refurbishment work, the bar staff in the Mushroom….and to anyone who came.

We will definitely be doing one again next year in September..sponsors are already coming in so if you can help please let us know. Cheers!
