We are delighted to tell you that on Wednesday 31st May we received an email with the official confirmation that we can expand the school! We can’t tell you how excited we are to be able to provide children with an education up until Year 6, when they head off to secondary school. This means that we can officially take children in Year 3 in September, keeping our current Year 2s as well as opening up to others who are looking for a junior school place.
What this means for next year is:
- We will still have two classes next year – a combined Reception and Year 1 class, and a combined Year 2 and 3 class.
- We do not need to appoint any new teachers next year.
- We do not need to build our Key Stage 2 unit until this time next year, ready for September 2018.
Thank you for supporting the school as we have gone through the process – helping us to raise the additional funds, writing your letters of support and providing the home school partnership that other schools can only dream of.
If you have any questions about our expansion please do not hesitate to contact either the Headteacher or any of the Governors.
We hope that this means an extra celebration for you over half term and look forward to welcoming everyone back into school on Monday to help set our vision for the future.
Rachel Tilden Walker (Headteacher) and Anna Taylor (Chair of Governors)
