Fundraising by textile recycling

The Friends of East Claydon C of E School collect unwanted textiles which generates a regular income for the school.

We are asking for any unwanted textiles:
clothes, shoes/trainers (tied together please), hats, belts, bags, curtains, towels and bed linen (no duvets or pillows please).

If you would like to help, please fill any carrier bag, tie the handles together and put it in the recycling bin near the Clock Tower in the Village Hall car park. Just be aware that a FULL bin liner may not fit through the recycling bin door, so keep the bundles small. Collections are once a fortnight, or more often if it gets full beforehand.

If the bin is full, please let any member of Friends know ASAP so that we can get the bin emptied. Please don’t leave bags around the bin ...keep them in the boot of your car until the bin is emptied!

We receive £0.30/kg which is a great boost for our fundraising. In addition, it will also raise awareness amongst the children of the benefits of recycling and reuse.

Don’t forget to ask grandparents, friends and neighbours to have a sort out as well!
